NEW {green} FAVORITES

I am always searching for new eco-friendly products and have found some really great pieces that I felt the need to share.  Design is important to me, as is the quality and green aspects of the piece.  These products are amazing.  Most of them I would not have thought to be earth friendly, but with FSC Certified woods, eco-friendly fabrics and sustainable materials, they are at the top of my NEW {green} FAVORITES.

Gus*Modern Carmichael Loft Sofa

I love the Mid-Century modern feel of this sofa, and the fact that it is made with FSC-Certified wood makes it all the more appealing.

Housefish Key Walnut Storage

The detail in this audio visual piece is simply stunning!!  The laser cut out images of birds and grasses are so intricate and beautiful.  I would definitely let this piece feather my NEST.  It is available at Bobby Berk Home, which is a great resource for modern design.  They carry a nice selection of eco-friendly products as well.

Gus*Modern Stanley Stool

Another great piece from Gus*Modern, their Stanley Stool has a rustic yet industrial sensibility that I love.  It’s design is very simple, but I think that is what makes it so appealing to the eye.  Basic, yet stylish with it’s use of materials and design.

The Glow Table by MDC Interiors

The Glow Table by MDC Interiors blends reclaimed wood with technology in it’s use of built in accent lighting.  How great would this be in a kitchen as a stand alone island?  Pretty cool.

Loll Designs Lago Chair

Loll Designs Lago Chairs

Loll Designs is really a leader in outdoor furniture manufacturing.  All of their products are recycled, made up of milk jugs (their website actually lists the amount of jugs recylcled to make each specific piece).  The Lago chair alone is made up of 244 milk jugs.  How awesome is that?!  Loll not only incorporates the highest standard in eco-friendly materials, they also have an amazing design sensibility.  They are one of my favorite eco-friendly companies, based out of my home state of Minnesota.

Omer Arbel for Bocci

And for my final NEW {green} FAVORITE – the 38 series chandelier by Omer Arbel for Bocci.  Strange, I know, but at the same time pretty intriguing.  Obviously you would need just the right space to put this in, but what a conversation piece this would be!  Is it a planter, is it a chandelier…wait it’s both!  And oh, how I do love pieces that multitask!

I hope you enjoyed today’s post.  Until next time, enjoy!  ~Kristin
